Privacy notice
Last updated 19 October 2026
This notice explains how Data Mobility Sdn Bhd handles personal data when you visit datamobility.com.my or contact us through it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who is responsible
Data Mobility Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, operates this website and is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact us about privacy at info@datamobility.com.my.
What we collect
- When you send the contact form: your name, email address, organisation, country, what you are interested in and your message, plus the number of servers you look after if you choose to give it.
- When you email us: your email address and your message.
- When you talk to CyberSentry AI: see CyberSentry AI, the video companion below.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider processes standard technical data (such as IP address, time and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- Website analytics: how the site is used, measured with Google Analytics. See Analytics and cookies below.
We do not use advertising trackers or social media plugins. Fonts are served from our own site. The exceptions are Google Analytics (below) and CyberSentry AI on our home page and audience pages (/msp/ and /business/), which is provided by Tavus (see further below).
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit, which pages they read, where they came from (for example a search engine or LinkedIn), the type of device and browser, the approximate country and city, and which buttons they use, such as stepping through the product walkthrough, choosing a suggested question, opening technical details, starting a CyberSentry AI conversation or sending the contact form. These events carry only a short label (for example the step number or the page), never what you type or say. We use this only to improve the site. We do not send your name, email address or anything you type into forms or say to CyberSentry AI to Google Analytics, and advertising features, ad personalisation and Google signals are turned off.
- If you press Accept: Google Analytics sets cookies (
_gaand_ga_*, kept for up to 2 years) so that repeat visits can be recognised. - If you press Reject, or have not chosen yet: no analytics cookies are set. Your browser still sends Google basic measurements without cookies or identifiers (such as the page viewed, time, browser type and approximate location derived from your IP address), which Google uses to estimate overall traffic. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
- Changing your choice: use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. Rejecting deletes our analytics cookies from your browser. Your choice itself is stored in your browser (
cs-consent), not on our servers.
Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months, then deleted automatically.
CyberSentry AI, the video companion
CyberSentry AI is an optional AI-powered video conversation on our home page and audience pages, provided by Tavus. A moment after one of these pages loads, your browser connects to Tavus to show the CyberSentry AI button in the corner of the page, which shares standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type with Tavus. Your microphone and camera are used only after you start a conversation and your browser asks for your permission.
- During the conversation: Tavus processes your audio and video, and what you say, to run the session. Tavus uses Daily to carry the audio and video and runs a bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) when you start. These services may store technical data in your browser that the call and the bot check need. The companion does not remember you between conversations.
- Suggested questions: if you pick one of the questions we suggest before you start, its fixed wording is sent to Tavus as your first message once the conversation starts, as if you had asked it. Only that fixed wording is sent, never other text from our pages or anything you entered on our site. You can remove the question before you start.
- What reaches us: nothing, unless you explicitly ask for follow-up (a pilot request, a technical question for our team, or a call with our team) and agree to be contacted. Then we receive and keep only what you gave for that request: your name and email address, and, if you gave them, your organisation, role, a description of your environment and tools, your question or reason, a preferred meeting time and notes, plus a reference to the conversation. A preferred time is not a booking.
- What we do not keep: we do not copy recordings, transcripts or any analysis of your appearance, expressions, emotions or personality into our own systems, lead records or emails, and we do not use them to profile you. Tavus keeps conversation data on our behalf under its own retention settings.
Why we use it
Only to reply to you and, if you ask, to discuss a pilot, a partnership or an investment. We process your data with your consent, given with the form or when you ask CyberSentry AI for follow-up, and to take steps you ask for before a possible agreement. Technical hosting data is processed to run a secure website.
How long we keep it
We keep messages for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a customer, pilot or investor relationship starts, in which case we keep what that relationship and Malaysian law require. You can ask us to delete your data earlier.
Who else handles it
We do not sell or share your data for marketing. These service providers process it on our behalf:
- Netlify, Inc. (website hosting, form handling and storage of follow-up requests from CyberSentry AI, United States)
- Tavus, Inc. (CyberSentry AI video conversations, United States), with its providers Daily (audio and video transport) and Cloudflare (bot check)
- The email service that delivers and stores our messages
- Google LLC (Google Analytics, United States)
Some of these providers are outside Malaysia. By using the contact form or asking CyberSentry AI for follow-up, you consent to your data being transferred to them for these purposes, as permitted by the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you can ask to access and correct your data, limit its use for any purpose, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to info@datamobility.com.my. You can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia (pdp.gov.my).
Changes
If we start collecting anything new, we will update this notice first and change the date above.
